An important part of our work is building an Endowment Fund for the future maintenance and restoration of the Danforth Building.
Attend a monthly meeting to learn what the Friends are doing next. There are no member dues.

IDEAS! Donate plants for plant sale, label and price plants for sale, be a vendor (or contact one) for craft sale, donate sale items, help with food prep or serving at an event that sells food, grow Gilfeather® turnips and donate some for the festival, bake for the holiday bazaar, join workshops to make holiday decorations for the bazaar.
Work on publicity for one or more events. IDEAS! Write press releases, put up posters, distribute flyers.
Sell raffle tickets.
Collect raffle prizes and silent auction prizes from individuals and businesses.
Collect food donations or gift certificates from businesses to be used when food is served at an event.
Volunteer work time for small projects in and around the Danforth Building.
IDEAS! Gardening in summer, simple house repairs, painting, organizing our stuff.
Help with grant research and grant writing.
Help with office work and bulk mailings. IDEAS! Keep our mailing list up to date, help with the website.
Love to cook? Get the Friend's Gilfeather® Turnip Cookbook (Volume 2 now available with many NEW recipes not formerly in Volume 1) and prepare one of the delicious recipes for us for the "tastings" at our October fund raiser.
