DRAWING will be on the 4th of July
(Winner does not need to be present. Prize can be shipped.) Raffle tickets on sale at the Library starting April 1st or by phone or mail order. Tickets also on sale at the Friends' Spring Plant Sale and the Friends' booth at the 4th of July Street Fair on the day of the drawing. Prizes are on display at the Library, 170 Main Street, Wardsboro. Email questions or call 802-896-3416.
The Friends' Second Fabulous House Tour

Mountain Hideaways House & Garden Tour

NEW this year: more private homes and gardens in Wardsboro and surrounding resort towns. This is a reprise of the 2007 house tour which was fabulously successful. The self-guided tour begins at the Library's Red Barn at 170 Main Street. Pick up Box Lunches, detailed, maps and more. «Volunteers needed to help as hosts and hostesses.«

PLUS - It's also the Deerfield Valley '09 BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL! ... save some time to join us for the food event happening all day long at the Red Barn. Enjoy blueberry pie, blueberry treats and blueberry sweets with the blueberry Friends. «Volunteers needed to bake and help serve at the Blueberry Cafe.«
It's Turnip Time

7th Annual Gilfeather® Turnip Festival

Free admission. At Town Hall on Main Street, in the church vestry and the Library's Red barn. Turnip Cafe, turnip soup, recipe tastings (fee), Farmer's Market, tons of turnips for sale, turnip seeds, turnip cookbooks, limited edition turnip tee-shirts crafts, vendors, activities for children, live music and entertainment. A raffle for another valuable crafts item. TURNIP CONTEST - enter your Gilfeather® turnip - win prizes for best, biggest, ugliest! «Volunteers needed to grow turnips, harvest, bake and help in all parts of the festival.«
Weekly Crafter's Circle
All during October and November
Free admission. Join the Friends at the weekly Crafter's Circle to make ornaments and decorations for the Holiday Bazaar. Teach others your craft, learn a new one. Everyone welcome.

Free admission. At Town Hall on Main Street. Shop for hundreds of handmade ornaments, live wreaths and green decorations, gifts, huge bake sale, crafts and more. Soup Cafe for lunch. Noon to 2 PM - Kids, meet SANTA! Free photos with Old St. Nick. Rain or shine. «Volunteers needed to help make wreaths and handmade ornaments - join our weekly crafters circle in November.
