BEST RAFFLE EVER!


RAFFLE  FOR ORIGINAL ART and HANDMADE QUILT

Folk art painting, “Peaceful Place” by Wardsboro folk artist, Darlene Rutnik. The faux finish frame, typically used on folk art paintings, compliments the colorful, pastoral scene (24” x 20” framed). Look for more of Darlene’s work at the art show in the library barn on July 4th and  5th.

 
The 2008 raffle quilt

Handmade quilt (62” x 76”), varied sized blocks of prints and solids comprise the center design of this colorful machine-sewn quilt by Betty Harris of Newfane.  Six inch border print frames the large center section.

Also have fun at the Friend's SUPER RAFFLE of over 20 items! Take  a chance on your favorites.  Winners announced at Wardsboro Town Hall beginning at 1 P.M.  Raffle tickets for painting and quilt for sale at the Wardsboro Library, the Wardsboro Country Store and at the West Wardsboro Store beginning April 1st.

Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, live auction, raffle, door prizes and more surprises. Music by Laraine Ware Morrow and Skip Morrow, vocal and keyboard duo; and William Finkel, classical guitar. Tickets $10 each - on sale beginning July 4th at the Street Fair, at the Wardsboro Library, by Email or phone.

This unique festival celebrates the Gilfeather® turnip, first propagated in Wardsboro in the early 1900s by local farmer, John Gilfeather.  All the secrets of this heirloom vegetable will be revealed at the Festival.  Live mus

ic, entertainment, turnip art, & activities for children.

Turnip Cafe  features  Gilfeather® Turnip soup and Turnip Tastings of cook book recipes prepared by Wardsboro “chefs” - from 11 A.M. - also take-out for soup.
Shop at the "Turnip Shop”, Craft Fair, &  Farmers’ Market - turnip-theme gifts, souvenir tee shirts, postcards, Gilfeather® turnip videos & DVDs, The Gilfeather® Turnip Cookbook & Other Recipes Rooted in Wardsboro, Vol. 2, Gilfeather® turnips and seeds, apples, cider, organic veggies, VT products, foods & crafts.
