At Town Hall, and The Big Tent - all on Main Street, Wardsboro, VT. America’s best turnip culinary event! Join the whole town for Gilfeather turnip soup and turnip recipe tastings at the Turnip Café, outdoor soup kiosk, farmer’s market, many new craft and specialty  artisan food vendors, 1000 + lbs of turnip, turnip seeds, turnip cookbooks, festival tee shirts, turnip-theme gifts, live music & entertainment.

9AM to 1 PM Visit the Wardsboro Public Library

10 AM  Festival Opens - Indoor & Outdoor Vendors Booths, Farmers Market
10 AM  Turnip Cart Selling Fresh Turnips
10 to 11 AM  Coffee & Donut Kiosk
10 AM to Noon  Register Turnips for the Turnip Contest
11 AM  Cafe & outdoor kiosk open for lunch & soup take-out
Noon   Deadline to Enter and Judging of Turnip Contest 
1 PM   Turnip Contest Awards announced in Town Hall

2 PM  Drawing for the Raffle.

2017 Best Raffle Ever!   Christmas in New England Tree Skirt - Hand-hooked in Wool

All Day   Live entertainment in Town Hall and outdoors.

Largest grown in Wardsboro, Largest grown outside of Wardsboro, Best turnip name, Best strange and/or funny turnip and Grand Champion - largest turnip entry determined by total weight with greens. All kids under 12 will receive honorable mention ribbon
