A Gilfeather Turnip Celebration for Our Town
October 23, 2021 10 am to 1 pm Saturday
170 Main Street, Wardsboro Public Library front lawn
All welcome! Free family event.

The Friends are celebrating the famous Gilfeather Turnip and Farmer John Gilfeather on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Wardsboro Public Library.
You'll find just-harvested locally grown Gilfeather turnips for sale by the pound, next to a tent full of fun Gilfeather Turnip merchandise including t-shirts, caps, aprons, cookbooks, and the charming knitted Gilfeather Turnip hat in sizes for children and adults. You can buy turnip seeds, too, if you plan to plant in the Spring of 2022. We're baking some Gilfeather Turnip baked goods to sell on this day, too!

Bring your friends and neighbors along to listen to some great live music, to do a few fun activities with your kids, and to stock up on the Official State Vegetable just in time for your Thanksgiving dinner.

While this year's event will be different than the grand turnip extravaganzas from prior seasons, we're still proud of Wardsboro's Gilfeather Turnip!

Again it's Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 10 am to 1 pm at 170 Main Street. Free.

On this same day, we are drawing the winning ticket for the Best Raffle Ever, the wonderful handcrafted holiday quilt. Tickets are always available online, by email, at the library during regular hours, and on October 23 right up until drawing time: 1 pm.

See you at the Turnip Cart!
From the Friends of the Wardsboro Library.
